Overview
Established in 2003, under the leadership of owner Mona Hauser, XVA is one of the leading galleries in the Middle East. Originally located in Bastakiya, XVA includes an art hotel, café and boutique — continuing to function in its original capacity, as an art gallery, too.
XVA Gallery, DIFC
Opening earlier this year, the new gallery in the DIFC’s Gate Village provides XVA with an additional venue for the promotion of contemporary art from the Middle East. The DIFC venue enables XVA to rigorously expand their exhibition program and it offers visitors greater convenience of access.

XVA has been a pioneering force in the Dubai art scene. From the beginning their philosophy has been to sculpt a venue for artistic and creative inquiry, that is both welcoming and distinctly unique. The goal is to enhance the existing community of culture in the region by transferring what has been a very successful model in Bastakiya to a new location in the DIFC.
XVA means Position, Velocity, and Acceleration in physics. With the speed of development of both Dubai and the Middle East art market, and now with additional DIFC venue, the meaning behind its name remains contextually relevant.
